Physical
Therapy at Shenandoah Medical Center is a team of skilled
therapists who provide a continuum of
services as part of a program that includes prevention, diagnosis,
consultation, and treatment. We strive to improve mobility, relieve
pain, and limit disabilities of patients with injury or disease.
As part of the treatment plan, the Physical Therapists will evaluate
a patient’s medical history and then perform a complete physical
assessment to determine a patient’s limitation in range of motion,
strength, coordination/balance, pain, and functional ability. With
this information, the therapist is then able to establish a plan of
care in order to address the patients’ limitations and meet mutual
patient goals.
A wide variety of conditions can be treated at
Shenandoah Medical Center. Part of these include: stroke,
amputation, neurological impairments, brain/spinal cord injury,
joint replacements/injuries, wounds, peripheral neuropathy,
arthritis, pain, and sports injuries.
We see patients in a
variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient (skilled and
